F.A.Q.

Do you take insurance?

We have several contracts as a group with insurance carriers, and within our practice, we have providers on almost all plans offered by insurance. It is best to call our intake specialist to see what coverage you have and who among our staff might be a good initial fit. Of course, what we are told by a carrier in no way indicates that the carrier will in fact provide reimbursement for services, please contact your insurance carrier to ensure that CCBT, and it’s specific provider, are able to take your insurance.

Please note that the accepted insurances may vary depending on the location and type of service. For more information on accepted insurances, you may contact your insurance provider or reach out to us for further information. Our helpful staff will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

Where are your offices?

We have our main office at the juncture of Upper Arlington, Dublin, and Columbus on Sawmill Road between Bethel Rd. and Henderson Rd. The location is within a short drive to most northern suburbs. We have offices in Gahanna, Westerville, Dayton, Mason, Lancaster, and Marion.

How do I make a first appointment?

You call our office, or fill in the contact form, and are contacted by our intake staff. CCBT will review your interest in mental health services and inform you of likely matches with clinicians at our office who have expressed their competencies to fit your interests. If you decide to go forward, CCBT administrative staff will set up your first appointment, and direct you to download the forms, or to sign up for the patient portal to access the forms, you will need to complete before the first session. If you don’t have access to technology, please let our staff know, so we can mail the forms to you.

Will the information shared with a therapist be kept confidential?

The privacy of information exchanged with your therapist in the course of diagnosis and treatment is protected by law. The law also requires your therapist to break confidentiality with or without your permission if you or someone else is at risk of serious harm. You and your therapist may decide together that it is in your best interest for CCBT to exchange information with another party. In that case, your therapist may ask for written consent.

What if an appointment cant be kept?

Appointments must be cancelled at least two (2) business days prior to the scheduled appointment time. Clients can cancel their appointment by calling the main phone number to the center for psychiatric providers or emailing their specific therapist prior to the two (2) business day cutoff. There is a $100 charge for no-show and late cancellation of therapy and psychiatry appointments. There is a $300 charge for no-show and late cancellation of testing services. If you have a card on file, payment will be collected by the appropriate staff member. If you do not have a card on file, you will receive a bill.

How are appointments made?

Appointments are generally scheduled by our administrative staff, or sometimes by your individual therapist. Our administrative staff is also available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. to assist you in scheduling appointments. The standard appointment time is 53-60 minutes, although this may vary with individual circumstances.

How does a client contact CCBT in an emergency?

Our phones are answered by an auto-attendant that will direct your call. After hours, the option to be routed to an emergency service will be presented. The service for an after hours emergency will direct you on what to do, and will notify your provider the next day. This service is only for emergencies: If your call is not an emergency, please use the voicemail system through the autoattendant to leave a message for admin staff or your provider.
